Turn your desk into a productivity zone
Greetings all,
I ran across this post this morning about ‘How to Turn Your Desk into a Productivity Zone‘. There are a lot of good items on this list. They are things that anyone can do to help you increase your productivity.
Also, BBP friend, Brett Kelly, has penned a great article about how GTD problems are not system related. This post has hit me pretty close to home. As those who follow BBP on twitter (michaelramm and jasonechols, respectiviely) have seen, we have both fallen off the wagon here lately. I am going to use my Christmas vacation (11/22 throught 1/2) to revamp my GTD system to a more basic implementation. I am also going to re-read Getting Things Done (time #5) and possibly reedit/rewrite the GTD Primer here on BBP. There also may be a new look to BBP coming in the new year.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to seeing all of you in 2008.

Great to hear! I love the current primer you have on the GTD system and can’t wait to see it get better.
Now if we can all just set a New Year’s resolution to get on the wagon and STAY on!
Thanks for all you do.

Redoing your GTD implementation to the basics sounds interesting.
Please share what you have decided to leave in or change. What was your thought process about why a particular habit or system was basic?
Good Luck.

I recently set up a home office. I am amazed how much more productive I have become. I decided to purchase new office furniture including a new desk and several files. With this modular configuration I can reconfigure the office every few months. This periodic change of view helps improve my productivity and creativity.

The link for the “How to Turn Your Desk into a Productivity Zone” does not work. A little Googling came up with this article. Is this the one that you were referring to?
