The Passing of Marc Orchant

It is with great sadness that we pass along the news of the passing of Marc Orchant.

Marc was a friend and reader of BBP. Though we never spoke to him verbally or met him face-to-face, what contact we had with him was classy and positive. As is indicated from the great outpouring of love and support, Marc was well respected in the blogging community.

He will be missed.

Online Updates on the Condition of Marc Orchant…

For some reason, Oliver Starr no longer has access to the Blognation page in which he originally informed us of Marc’s condition.

He is now keeping people updated at this site.

A sad note for today…

Many of you who read this blog are familiar with our friend, Marc Orchant.

Today, Michael and I were stunned and saddened to learn that Marc had suffered a massive coronary on Sunday morning.

"At some time between 7:30 and 8:10 AM on Sunday Morning December 2nd, 2007, Marc Orchant, my fellow author on this blog, as well as one of my closest friends sustained a massive heart attack while working in his home office. At this time Marc is in critical condition at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Critical Cardiac Care Unit, Bed 3. He is not expected to regain consciousness for the next 24 to 48 hours.” From blognation USA.

Memorial Day

We @ Black Belt Productivity want to take a moment to wish everyone a happy and safe Memorial Day holiday.

We want also to thank our readers who have served in the United States military.

Please take a moment today to remember those who have given their lives in battle for the cause of freedom.

As Dan Dean once sang, “They laid their life on the line…for a dream”.

What Michael wants to be when he grows up?

Frank hit me with this blogmeme, so I will extend the tradition.

As a kid

Mr. Mertle, from The Sandlot, said, “Baseball is life, and I was good at it.” That sums up my childhood. All that I ever wanted to do was play ball. I also idolized Pete Rose growing up. Now, that may not have such a good thing, but in the 70s it was awesome. I remember that in elementary school, we did a Hero Report. We had to research the subject and then dress up like them and give our reports. I was Pete Rose for a day.

BBP is Closed for the Day

Shutdown Day

BBP will be closed on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in observance of Shutdown Day. It is a day that our computers will not be on for 24 hours straight. Turn off your computer and go spend time with your family, read a book, cook a new dinner! BBP will return with our adventures after Shutdown Day.

Thanks,

The Management

BBP…Up from the Grave!

Hello to all,

I just wanted to drop a quick note that we have an exciting change coming next week! On Monday, November 6, 2006, we will unveil the new look to BBP. Jason and I have talked about the look that we have now, and found a new look that we are both very excited about. We moved some stuff around and narrowed some stuff and added some color, and **BAM!!** we have a new site.

Tales of our demise are greatly exagerated

Both Jason and I sincerely offer our apologies for the lack of new content that has graced BBP lately. We have both gotten swamped in work over the last couple of months…BUT hopefully we should be able to start up next week with some regular postings about GTD and all things productive.

We certainly appreciate all of the contacts to us and comments left regarding where we have gone. We are still here, and coming up from under the rocks and will be able to start up next week with some insightful musings.
